Belva Ann Lockwood

Wikipedia describes Belva Ann Lockwood as, "a United States attorney, politician, educator and author." Lockwood ran for president in 1884 and 1888 on the National Equal Rights Party ticket and was the first woman to appear on official ballots for presidency (Victoria Woodhull was nominated in 1872, but was not officially put on the ballot, for many disputed reasons). Lockwood fought against both social practice and the very limited legal status of women, obtaining many "firsts" in the U.S. for women, both in social and legal circles. Read more about her here.

even though the day was spent warding off idiocy, i feel strangely calm. hopefully i can sustain that feeling for the entire week.

it's complicated. but i'm figuring it out.

i gave up on fairytales a long time ago. but i still believe in fairies. and i'm beginning to find my way back to a good place. a place i had forgotten about. a place i had almost given up on ever finding again. a place i had resigned myself to only reading about. or writing about. but i've started down a road, opened a door...so, let's see where it goes.
